PrimeTime Launches Website

January 24, 2007

PrimeTime, the Los Angeles-based organization committed to matching uniquely experienced retirees with civic engagement opportunities in public schools, has launched a new informational and member registration website. The site is located at www.primetimeforschools.com.

In 2007, PrimeTime will launch a pilot program with the Los Angeles Unified School District to place PrimeTime members in classroom and administrative volunteer positions.

The PrimeTime program was founded by former Paramount Pictures studio Chairman Sherry Lansing as a means to empower her contemporaries to make a positive community impact through hands-on civic engagement.

"My generation has more energy, more drive, and a greater life expectancy than any group of retirees before us," notes Lansing. "We are going to be here for two decades or more past "retirement" age and we want to do something relevant in the so-called third act of our lives."

The PrimeTime website offers program information, a member registration form, and a list of current PrimeTime volunteer opportunities. On the Web: www.primetimeforschools.com
